Surnames are a function of culture, not race. My surname derives from the English owners of the African-American ancestors on my father’s side who took it from their former owners and blood relatives (slave owners often had children by their slave women) when slaves were manumitted. First of all a disease can be common in a particular group of people that is not associated together because of race.  Second, you never answered the question, but rather skirted it.  Why should i care what group of people those last names are common too?  It is like saying Cortez is a common name to hispanics.  It may or may not be true but regardless i do not see how it affects me in any way.
