The simplest way to explain Islam.. It is the third in the building blocks of religion. First was Judism, second was Christianity and the final and last is Islam. It’s teachings are the last to have have come, and the final teachings sent to us from God.

Just a correction, these weren’t the only three "religions" that were revealed. Although every religion that was revealed was the same Islam with different Shariahs, people who did not have contact with these religions also received prophets. The Shariah in our "version" of Islam is the final Shariah the Allah (SWT) has assigned to mankind, and is the most appropriate for us and the only Shariah we are allowed to follow. Asad.
