Question:
- Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Muhammed (SAW) is mentioned in Isaiah 42, NOT Jesus; consider: Isaiah 42 is not disputed as a Messianic passage. IF it refers to Jesus, as Christians swear until they’re blue in the face, please answer me this: Isa42:1- Behold my servant (Abdullah) whome I uphold my chosen one (Mustafa) in whome my soul delights I have put my Spirit (ruH) (Jabreel) upon him He will reveal Justice (ie king) to the gentiles John18:36 I am NOT an earthly king … My kingdom is not of this world cf (Sahih Bukhari 3:335) Isa42:2- He will be gentle, he will not shout in the streets (Q31:19) nor quarrel in the streets Matt12:34- O generation of vipers! how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. Isa42:3- A bruised reed (Egypt) shall he not break, and the dimly burning wick he will not snuff out: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. Matt21:19- And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, `Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever.’ And presently the fig tree withered away. Isa42:4- He shall not burn dimly or be brused till he has set judgment (loc cit++) in the earth: and the isles (Malasia) shall wait for his Law Mark15:24- And when they had crucified him, they parted his garments, casting lots upon them, what every man should take. (crucifixion is more then a bruse) (if you translate burn dimly as "rest", 2000 years is hefty a sabatical) John20:27- Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and THRUST it INTO my side: and be not faithless, but believing. (a wound you can THRUST your hand into is more then a bruse) SO on no less the 4 accounts Jesus (AS) conclusivly FAILS to fit this prophecy If you believe in ONLY one messiah to come then one must conclude that Jesus (AS) was not "the" Messiah, however Qumran points to 2 messiahs, the first one was Jesus (AS), The Second one is prophicized in Isaiah 42, not the first. The second (King-Messiah) was Muhammed (SAW) Isas42:6 …And I will appoint you as a covenent to the people (New Covanant=New Law (Cf Duet 33:2-3), A light unto the Nations [Ibn Abraham (cf Isa52:10), (cf Gen 22:18)] Isa 42:7 To open blind eyes… (Q14:1) Isa 42:8 "I will not give my glory to another nor my praise to graven images" This is a mission to Idolitors and the distruction of idolotry. Jesus (AS)’s mission was not to idolitors but to the children of Israel "But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel."– Matthew 15:23-25 Isa 42:10 sing to the Lord a new song (new revelation) Quran is is not just chanted, but sung 73:1 O you who have wrapped up in your mantle! 73:2 Rise to pray in the night except a little, 73:3 Half of it, or lessen it a little, 73:4 Or add to it, and recite the Quran (aloud) in a slow (pleasant tone and) style. (Noble Qur’an translation) Isa42:11- Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains. The wilderness is the desert. Kedar are Arabs (cf Gen25:13) Arabs as a whole NEVER embraced Christianity Jews were Monotheists as decedants of Abraham (AS), when then fell into idolitry They were returned to Monotheism by Elijah (AS) , or Ezekiel (AS), or Ezra (AS) or another Prophet Arabs were Monotheists as decedants of Abraham (AS), they fell into idolitry and were returned to Monotheism by Islam. The rock is the black stone in the Temple of Abraham (AS) in Mecca. The mountaintop is Mt. Arafat which is part of hajj. The Shout is "labaik Allahuma Labaik" (I am here at your call, Oh Allah, I am here) (also part of hajj) Isa 42:12 ..And declare his praise (Al-hamd) (cf Q1:1-7) to the coastlands (Palestine-Ghana) Isa 42:13 The Lord will go forth as a warrior This Prophet will not only preach, but will lead his followers in battle array against the idol worshipers as Moses did. Isa 42:13 He shall prevail against his enemies Isa 42:14 Long has he been restraining himself.. His followers will be pacifists at first, then when persicution becomes unbearable the order to fight will come for self preservation. (cf Q2:216) Isa 42:15 I will lay waste to the mountains and hills.. This is the destruction of caste systems, classes, and Priest/layman. All Believers will be brothers and rank will be by Taqwa (God conscienceness). Isa 42:16 And I will lead the blind on a way they did not know On paths they did not know I will guide them I will make darkness into light before them and the rugged places into planes On a new path means a nation which has never had a Nabi (Prophet) before. Compare Isa 48:17 .."I am the Lord your God who teaches you to profit, Who leads you in a way you should go." Israel is already led while this new covenent includes those who were never led before. "Into planes" is making the crooked people testify that there is no God except the One OR making it simple to disinguish between the Lawful (halaal) and the unlaw (haraam). Isa 42:17 They shall be turned back and be utterly put to shame who trust in idols who say to molten images "You are our gods." This is Kedar (v11) into complete Monotheism. The rest of the enterpretation of Isaiah 42 (18-25) is The Servant Israel as deaf and blind and proven unworthy of carrying this message. this is the enterpretation of Jesus’ (AS) "new wine in new wine skins"; new revelation in a NEW nation.
