When Osama Bin Laden was gloating over the death and destruction and compared the destruction to that of winning a soccar game and claimed that Allah was pleased that many innocent people died, most people in the Arab communities refused to speak against such raw hatred. And we were told, with much fan-fare, that Islam was a religion that promotes peace, love, and tolerance When innocent children are killed, just so a "political statement" could be made, do we see "peace-loving Islam" condemn the attacks? No we see them dancing in the streets, passing out candy, and singing the praises of the terrorists. And once again, Islam is promoted as a religion of peace, love, and tolerance When car bombs explode in populated civilian sectors and when suicide bombers blow themselves up and everybody around them does "peaceful Islam" denounce such raw, unbridled hatred? No. They applaud them and call them "honorable" and call the innocent deaths "justified" and the parents of the suicide bombers stay at home and wait for the money from "Uncle Saddam" and "Uncle Yassar". To Islam, sacrificing your own child in the name of financial rewards, is a very small price And in the process, the self-titled "Holy leaders" of Islam claim their religion is about "peace, love, and tolerance". Please, buddy.  Almost every ounce of sermons given in the arab world, every bit of news from the castrated goverment newspapers, almost every pronouncement talks about exactly what the initial poster summarized, perfectly. Muslims everywhere are giddy about Americans dying.  Lip service condemnations do not hide the fact that it is ABUNDANTLY clear that ( and I forgot polls of muslims/arab populations about america ) 80-90% of people think the US got what it deserved, they support bin laden, and just love blaming their own misfortunes on the rich, the free. OBL succeeded in making this a muslim/vs/usa conflict. that’s it. he won there, because he knew that 80% of the arab world is too dumbed down by 14th century thinking and repressive goverments to know the difference. Should the US support these repressive goverments? no. can US foreign policy be changed/persuaded by acts like 9/11? this is what the arabs/muslims are learning with a hard lesson. you, your hero bin laden, you made the mistake of your lives by doing what you did on 9/11. Letting it happen. Tacitly condoning the fringe elements within you. your little political problems, your poverty, your disenfranchisement? it’s nothing compared to what you get, fair or unfair, after an act of war like what happened. it’s very sad. and when/if ( more like when according to experts ) one of your terrorists manages a massive bomb explosion for a followup to 9/11, i pray that i will be able to bear what happens to your ‘civilization’ in response.
