Question:
BTW, could you please tell me where you got the idea that those who aren’t christians will go to hell? A lot of people say that but i’ve never actually seen any evidence where it says that in the bible. Personally, i don’t believe that, at all. I think that no matter what religion you are, you will be able to go to heaven if you’re a good person and have tried hard to obey laws and morals.
The essential message of the Gospel is that all humanity falls short of God’s standard — not just a standard of "goodness", but one of perfection. Every one of us has broken one or more of his holy laws at some point in our lives, and thereby disqualified ourselves from eternal life in God’s presence, condemned instead to eternal life apart from God. Our own "goodness" is as filthy rags compared to God’s standard. Our own sense of goodness is completely inadequate to get us to heaven. To say "I am as good as anyone else, so of course I can get to heaven" makes as much sense as saying, "I can jump as high as anyone else, so of course I can get to the moon." Nothing we can do by our own ability is good enough to erase our imperfection. So God provided another way … one that does not depend at all on our own goodness, one that sets no standard of human performance, but depends instead on Jesus’ goodness. Jesus says of himself that he came to die, to give his life as a ransom. He said that he alone was the way to the Father. If Jesus was not telling the truth, then no one ought to pay attention to anything he said. But if his words are true, then the conclusion is obvious: No one comes to God except through Jesus. If his words are true, then by his death he paid the death penalty that we all deserve for our sin. It now falls to each one of us to decide whether we will accept or reject God’s offer of eternal life with him, by making one critical decision. The determining factor in who goes to heaven is NOT how good or bad a person has been, or what he/she has done with his/her life. In the matter of salvation from the penalty of sin, all that matters is how he or she answers this one question: Who is Jesus to you? ks

i’m not quite sure what your point is, sorry i must have missed it
My point is that Christianity claims to be a religion of LOVE; but that this ‘love’ has led to some monstrous demonstrations of evil. yes, christains did bad things, and they’re still doing bad things now,
But the OFFICIAL doctrines of Christianity JUSTIFY these evil things. but they’re people, and it does not really mean the entire religion promotes that.
When you turn the Truth UPSIDE DOWN such monstrosities occur as a logical consequence. People of all religions do pretty bad things, not the religions are bad, just the people are.
No. The religions are bad because they establish the justification for the evils done by people. Without such justification would there be so much evil? BTW, could you please tell me where you got the idea that those who aren’t christians will go to hell?
Learned this from the Christian theologians and ministers. A lot of people say that but i’ve never actually seen any evidence where it says that in the bible. Personally, i don’t believe that, at all. I think that no matter what religion you are, you will be able to go to heaven
this is metaphysical philosophy. Jesus did not teach this. if you’re a good person and have tried hard to obey laws and morals. BTW2, as i recall, i remeber a lot of people on #islam that tell me that if you’re not a muslim, you’ll go to hell.
of course. I’ve heard this nonsense as well. Kinda puts a whole twist on your message.
No it does not. I am just as opposed to any Muslim justification for violence as well. Michael Cecil (

And this, of course, is also what is believed by the Christian Broadcasting Network and many other subsidiaries of Christianity, Inc. And, according to Jesus, Christians are required to LOVE their enemies. Now, what is not generally recognized except by people who are NOT Christians, however, is that one of the consequences of these two beliefs being taken together is rather shocking: the *torture* of Jews and Muslims is to be preferred to their outright slaughter. (The children of Iraq, for example, are being SLOWLY starved to death to give them the OPPORTUNITY to say yes to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.) Look. If a Christian murders a Jew or a Muslim who, after having been informed of the ‘Truth’ of Christian theology, refuses to worship Jesus as God, that Jew or Muslim will burn in hell for eternity. This is what Pat Robertson, Billy Graham, Jack Van Impe, the pope, and other Christian leaders are saying; although, perhaps, not al- ways in so many words. And this is what the Christian theologians and their followers con- sider to be a ‘Revelation from God Himself’. Torture, then, is really a very LOVING thing for a Christian to do to a Jew or a Muslim–or someone else who will not worship Jesus as God–because it is an attempt to SAVE that person from the ETERNAL torment of hell. It is merely the Christian version of ‘tough love’. But now there is a problem. People say ALL KINDS of things while they are being tortured. And it is not really possible to determine with certainty whether they have REALLY decided to worship Jesus as God or whether they are merely SAYING that in order for the torture to stop. And this is where Christian love becomes so CRITICALLY impor- tant: these heathens must be tortured to death no matter WHAT they say just to ENSURE that they will go to heaven rather than hell. In fact, whereas Jesus stated that ‘there is no greater love than that a person lay down his life for those he loves’, there is another measure of love: the determination to torture a person to whatever degree is required in the attempt to FORCE that per- son to believe that Jesus LOVES them, FORCE that person to wor- ship Jesus as God and, thereby, FORCE that person escape the ETERNAL fire. After all, what is so WRONG about burning one of these heretics for what? 30 MINUTES or so? if, by that torture, that heathen Jew or Muslim can be saved from an ETERNAL fire? Any REASONABLE analysis would suggest that it would be a SMALL price to pay. Now, obviously, the Christians cannot be absolutely CERTAIN that they have saved these children of Satan from the fires of hell by such torture; but it will not be because they haven’t TRIED. And, certainly, if the heathens resist to the very last moment of their conscious life, then it is obvious that they have DESERVED not only THIS torture but ALSO the fires of hell… In which case, of course, their blood CERTAINLY is not upon the hands of the Christians any more than the blood of Jesus was upon the hands of Pilate. Several hundreds of years ago the Roman church burned alive many hundreds or thousands of Albigensians because they taught the Doctrine of the "resurrection of the dead" as It was taught by Jesus. And those who committed this crime were motivated only by the BEST of intentions… They were merely following the command of Jesus to LOVE their enemies while holding to one of the fundamental doctrines of Christian theology. But the media, of course, will not breathe ONE WORD about THIS kind of Christianity when the pope visits Jerusalem.
