Jesus almost seems exasperated, and says with God all things are possible. Yet many of us still think this way. We think that when bad things happen in our lives we are being punished, and when good things happen we are being rewarded. But Jesus clearly refutes that here. The good things have their place, but the bad things as well. Difficult times can make us better people. When we go through difficulty we can become more in tune with our spirits, closer to God, with stronger and more compassionate spiritual hearts. Do not hate your struggle, turn to Jesus and learn from him, you will find rest for your soul, and you will go from last to first.

Perhaps, but it makes sense to me (but I’m psychotic, so go figure). The necessary requirements for becoming ‘rich’ in material wealth are contrary to getting oneself into Heaven. Avarice, gluttony, vanity, even envy. See? Jesus knew what he was talking about. h
