Although there are several nations where Christianity is facing banishment (it will never be destroyed), the United Staes is not one of them. Here, it IS the "christians" trying to take over and make every other non-christian (and even non-favored Christan) person an outsider. There is NO demand that you follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, but that you make your own decision based upon ALL the facts throughout history and not just what the atheists want you to see and hear.  IOW, don’t take a part of it away just to satisfy your own  ego.

I do base my conclusions on as many facts as are available to me. I’m still waiting for ANY valid fact to support claims about "The Christ" and the Christian god. My ego does not even enter the picture. While they have no supportive evidence for their claims, the "christians" are constantly trying to shove their religon as the national religon, shove their fairy tales as science, and instill their extremist, and manipulative, version of "morality" on all others. Never forsake the assembling of yourselves together.  Churches were formed to bring Christians together to uplift them spiritualy and make them a stronger part of the community.  Sadly over the decades many Christians have fallen asleep and forgotten this in the dog-eat-dog in which we live.

That babble does nothing to answer the question put to you. Pastors, priests, and other Christians are there to help each other through the rough times in life and to bring a better way of life to their communities.  It is not "brainwashing" to listen, read, and pray about what you believe.

What you are talking about is the purposeful continuation of brainwashing that started earlier. There is no difference in what you just said, and the monthly meetings of the KKK so they can slap themselves on the back because they all agree on their own bigotry.  It is only COMMON SENSE to listen and then find out for yourself what is true and what is "false doctrine".  There will be many false prophets in the world until the coming of the Lord again.

It is common sense to find out what is fact, and what is belief, or what is pure fantasy. Religion, since there are no suportive facts, is certainly not the first of those three .. and, therefore, has no reliationship to normal claims of "true" or "false".
