Question:
Why do you go through the advertisements and go on interviews if prayer works? Why not stay home and pray for a job instead….. Why seek medical attention if prayer works? Why go to a hospital? Why not stay at home and pray for a cure when you are sick…. Why take medication and pills to cure an ailment or arthritis? Why bother to get prescription medications with your money or insurance if prayer works? Would it not be better to pray for a cure? When you are hungry why go to the grocery store and go and cook a meal when you xtains say prayer works? Would it not be better to pray for one instead? If prayer works, then why not stay home secluded in doors and pray for something or other than seek other avenues? Prayer to the xtain gods doesn’t work? If it did you would pray for the things you so badly want or need then going out and seek them….. — Satan Loves You Hail Satan In nomine Dei nostri Satanas Luciferi excelsi! -The Emissary Join and learn about Satanism at: http://www.satanic.org.au Satanic Newsletter to the Legion of Hell: http://www.egroups.com/group/Legion_of_Hell

prayer is about hope and thanks. It has nothing to do with god granting us wishes! Then why do it…
For purposes of relationship. It appears that you have had to much experience with the bad side of the Catholic faith. This branch of the Christian faith has added much to the system. Much of this serves more to hid Christ than it does to bring people to the faith. God is not a God of rules, he is a God or relationships. In the first of Genisis you find a God who walks and visits with mankind. He cares about them and they care about him. Then Satan enters into the picture. Satan was a very important angel. He decided though that this was not good enough. He wanted to be God. I am not sure why I certainly would not want the job. I would rather be president than God, and I wouldn’t accept that job either. But he got 1/3 of the other angels to back him and he tride to battle God and win control of heaven. This was actually pretty dumb. Did he really think he could win? He was banished from heaven and sentenced to everlasting torment. he decided to take as many people with him as he could. He tempted mankind ot sin. and the fall of Adam and Eve occurred. This broke mankind’s connection to God. Through this it also damaged mankind’s love of God. It did not break or damage God’s love of mankind. In fact had God not loved mankind so much he would not have banished them from the garden. But because of his love he removed them from this location so that eventually they might be brought back into fellowship with him. He sent his son Jesus to earth. He was born of a woman, and lived life here as a child and then as a man. He lived this life without sin. He willingly went to the cross not at the will of the government, but at the will of the Father. He took upon himself the sins of everyone in the world through out time. He did as a blood sacrifice for our sins. In three days he rose from the dead. Through this action the means of fellowhip with God was restored. That fellowship is the basis of heaven and in a way is heaven. Man kind has a built in need for fellowship. Why do we keep looking for love all the time (usually in all the wrong places). This is what the Church and God is all about. It is a relationship with God. That is what prayer is aprt of. It is relating to God. It is not simply a means of dispatching a "shopping list" to God. When we are truly in prayer we are in communication and in communion with God. In many cases the purpose of prayer is not for us to commuicate with God, but for God to communicate with man. I say you are only partly correct my friend! Hope is the blueprint of faith. Our faith is to be in God, not in our faith. (Mark 11:22) Hope only forms the vision of the need. Praise, worship and thanksgiving are tantamount. Prayer is not trying to get God to change His mind. It is calling upon him to put Him in remembrance (Isaiah 43:26). He will not go against His word and promises ( Romans 4:21) The Lord admonishes us to pray always and not to faint. (Luke 18:1) He says in Phillippians 4:6 to let your requests be known unto God, in supplication. Supplications are definite requests. Name the need! This can be spiritual or temporal need. James says we have not because we ask not. A prophet of God was told " I have told my people they can have what they say (Mk 11:23) and they are saying what they have!" Psalms 37:4 says He will give thee the desires of your heart. If I had not been radically blessed through radical obedience, I would not have wherewithall to speak. I Cor I4:8 was rhema word to me earlier in life. "For if the trumpet gives an uncertain sound, who will prepare himself to the battle?" The Lord explained that my confession of the word must be steadfast and unmoveable, with out variableness, neither shadow of turning. (Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above James 1:17) A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. For let not that man think he shall receive anything of the Lord. The Lord wants us blessed with prosperity, health and deliverance from every evil work. Death and life are in the power of the tongue. (Proverbs 18:21)The only way you can reach into the spiritual realm is with the words you speak. "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." (Joshua 1:8) This word is directly from the mouth of God, as is plainly shown back in verse 1 where it says "the Lord spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, moses minister, saying… To conclude, the Lord God works with words. Observe how many times He called things created into being with His words. There are something like nine verses in Genesis chapter one that begins "and God said." We are created in His image and with a measure of His power to be who He said we can be, and do the greater works that He said we can do! If any man, being a "whosoever", obey the laws of believing and saying in humble obedience to the manifest word and glory of God he shall inherit the high places of the earth and never lack any good thing that pertains unto life and godliness in Christ Jesus. Prayer is a great part of our keys to the kingdom of heaven; let’s not sell ourselves short on our ability to be blessed. RADICAL BLESSING REQUIRES RADICAL OBEDIENCE
