Question:

This is a multi-part message in MIME format. Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit there is no doubting that the bible has some historical basis.  all but the purest fantasy books have some.  that doesn’t make them entirely true.  as a studying archaeologist, i am interested in christian archaeology.  however, finding the remains of a city mentioned in the bible is not the same as proving to the existance of god, nor the ultimate truth of the bible.

However, comparing the bible to Anne Rice as a fundamental truth and a basis for a religion and lifestyle seems a bit far-out (Oh NO!  John Denver flashback!!!  sorry) What seems even more odd to me, is that there ARE people who cite her books as gospel truth, follow Vamperism as a religion, and cite Anne Rice as a divinely inspired prophet. To this, I can only say, "Whatever floats your boat…  Oh, and stay away from my children…  You’re likely to rape them and then enslave them to some queen and beat and humiliate them in the name of sexual training."
