Christianity QA » Christian Church » Seeking Anullment of Baptism?
Question:
I’m sickened by this filthy, lying, child seducing, religion and would rather go it on my own (if God is watching he wouldn’t blame me) I wish to strike clear of Christianity in general and seek an anullment in all faith in such a decieving religious cult. How do I go about it?
Lucky for you, you cannot. Baptism makes an indelible mark on your soul. Russ

You cannot annul your baptism. It is an indelible mark on the soul, and cannot be annulled or repeated. It’s obvious that you have swalloed the media’s portrayal of Christians. You must realize that the media is anti-Christian and especially anti-catholic.

I think your confusing the Catholic Church, with the Catholic Faith. One has to do with the Catholic community as a whole, and the sinners including me in it, and the other has to do with religious truths as taught by the Catholic religion. Apparently you don’t accept the truths of the Catholic Faith as taught by the Catholic religion. Last time I checked the reason Our Lord Jesus Christ founded the Catholic Church was to save you, me, and all sinners be they pedophile’s, bank robbers, or what ever. That’s one of the reasons He instituted the Sacrament of Confession. Pax et Bonum Jim Carew sfo

That assertion is no more than Voodoo and is nowhere substantiated in anything Christ said. No wonder Jesus never baptised anyone himself. PeterT – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Russ

It’s obvious from what Christ said. Were you looking for "indelible mark" in capital letters with exclamation points? No wonder Jesus never baptised anyone himself.
He authorized His Church to. Is that so difficult to understand?

Response:
If one truly believed that Christianity is filthy, lying, child seducing, deceiving religious cult, then one is being disingenuous by coming to Christians to ask how to get an annulment of baptism. By going to a Christian church to ask for an annulment of baptism, one is expressing an implicit believe in the validity of that Chirstian church, which is the only way that such an annulment would mean anything. If you hate Christians, then don’t beat around the bush, hiding behind moral pretense. Just come out and say it. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
