When I said Orthodox Lobby I was not speaking of the Jewish Orthodox Lobby, I was speaking of the Serbian Orthodox lobby.  You have heard of the Orthodox Christian Church.  Unlike the Jews, Orthodox Christians do not have a strong lobby, do not occupy many positions in the state department, Not as many as the figner pointers allege, of course. defence, congress, do not have an AIPAC.         You speak if the Americans did not find Israel useful they would not support them.  Well, a large reason Israel is supported is because of AIPAC, the strong Jewish lobby in the country, which is perhaps the strongest "ethnic" lobby in the United States.  I mean what interests did Israel serve to the United States when it bombed the USS Liberty in 1967 Liberty was giving away Israeli placements to her enemies. and the last words of the American speaking on the ship’s radio was "sons of bitches, they are Israelis!".  I think it is largely about lobbying, interest groups.  Money talks in the United States, not really Democracy, fairness, principles. And money means interests. As I said: if the best interests of this nation weren’t served by Israel, she’d be dropped like a hot rock. No one has more money than the tobacco lobbyers – and look how the government is coming down on them. Susan

The tobacco issue is a money grab, deep pockets etc.  Why, when a nation is as powerful as the US, does every little country make demands on us to do their dirty work?  Its either, "US stood by and did nothing" or "Its the fault of the US".  We aren’t seen as we really are; we want to build up the world but other countries demand we do what they want.  The Albanians are vicitms and persecuted.

You are correct in that I’ve never served in the *Serbian* armed forces…but I have served in the U.S. Navy, and received an honorable discharge, when I left it. Don’t try to insult people you know nothing about.  It makes you look ignorant and presumptuous. ~Niki
