Question:

it’s gotta good beat, too! – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – The Rapture Theory We are living in the last days, spoken of all through God’s word. Not many will dispute that fact. However, what you don’t see is the deception that has spread world-wide. No one cares either. Why? You are taught to rapture away with Christ, while the rest of God’s children are left behind to die an agonizing death. The rapture doctrine is just not in God’s word. It all started in 1830 when Margaret McDonald had a dream and thought is was evil at first. Unfortunately, two supposed ministers heard her talk about her dream, and turned it into the doctrine you hear today, (The Incredible Cover-Up, by Dave MacPherson). If you are not careful, you will worship Satan. Thinking he is Christ Jesus coming to rapture us away. Let’s go to God’s Word. I Thessalonians 4:17 "Then we which are alive, and remain, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." This is where the "beef" of the rapture theory comes from. First of all, the  rapture people took this verse out of context. If you back up to v.13 of the same chapter, you will see that the subject is where the dead are. You must  follow subject and object. The word "together", is "hama" in the Greek, which means, at the same time. So, all who are alive at this time, will be  brought together, at the same time as the dead. The dead are already with Christ and we can’t beat them there. Now, what about these "clouds"? Paul was a scholar of Hebrew, but he spoke "street" Greek. This is a figure of speech, not to be taken literally. Paul used this same word another time,(Hebrews 12:1). I assure you, it does not mean little, white, fluffy things.  What about the word "air"? It’s the Greek word "aer", which comes from "aemi", which means to breathe. It’s the breath of life, not empty space. Think about it. It’s the breath of life that will change us into our spiritual bodies. With that behind us now, let’s go to Paul’s second letter to the Thessalonians. II Thessalonians 2:1 "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together unto Him." Paul is saying, "Now I need to talk to you about when Christ comes back." This was something Paul was very concerned with and again brought it to the Thessalonians attention. Paul stresses that the subject of the return of Christ is important. In other words, listen up! II Thessalonians 2:2 "That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand." The first letter Paul wrote, shook up the Thessalonians. They thought that the return was going to happen back then. I’m sure you will remember a few years back when all sorts of people sold everything they had, to go and wait on a hill for the return of Christ. They had been deceived. The same way the Thessalonians were deceived. Paul is now telling them to relax, it’s not as you think at all. II Thessalonians 2:3 "Let no man deceive you by any means; for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition." Paul is saying that it will happen only after these two conditions exist. So, what do you fall away from? The phrase "falling away" is only one word in the Greek. It is "apostasia", which means defection from truth. The word perdition comes from two Greek primes, "apo" and "ollumi", which means "destroy". Together they also form Apollyon, which means "the destroyer", (Satan’s name in Revelation 9:11). Well, what does Satan do when he is revealed? Pick it up in v.4. II Thessalonians 2:4 "Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped: so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God." If you didn’t grab a hold of that, try reading it again. Satan will sit in the temple of God showing to the world that he is God. God is Jesus Christ, you can interchange the names to read that Satan as Jesus will sit in the temple. After all the mercy seat is in the temple, and that is the throne of Jesus. It sounds a lot like the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel. Let’s go to Daniel and see what he says about this. Note: There is a lot more in this 8th chapter. It is really worth reading about. Daniel 8:24 "And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practice, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy." The power Satan uses is not his own. God allows it, (more on that later). The word "practice", in the Hebrew is "asah". It better translates "does it with effect". Destroying wonderfully is really nothing more than giving you everything you ever wanted. A one world economy where all your bills are taken care of, one world government, and peace, peace, peace. In reality, we are not very far away from that now. Remember now, Satan is pretending to be Jesus, sitting on the mercy seat, in the temple, at Jerusalem. Daniel 8:25 "And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many; he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand." The word "craft" is "mirmah", which means, deceit. As far as destroying with peace, it’s nothing you haven’t heard before. You could say with "peace and safety", Satan will destroy many. (I Thessalonians 5:2-6). Destroy what? Their faith in the true Messiah. He is, after all, going to prove to the world that he is Christ, come to take His people away. So, now that you know how Satan will operate when he comes to the earth, let’s go back to where we left off. II Thessalonians 2:5 "Remember ye not, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?" Paul told the Thessalonians this before, in his first letter, and face to face. In fact, it’s spoken of all through God’s word. Even Christ spoke of it frequently, (Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21). God has made this information completely available to anyone who cares, it is man that deceives, though some just don’t know any better. II Thessalonians 2:6 "And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time." "Withholdeth" is the Greek word, "katecho", which means to hold down, or holds fast. Paul was saying. "It’s going to happen exactly this way. Satan will destroy the faith of many." There is a time for Christ Jesus to come and claim His bride, and there is a time for Satan to "rapture" his people away. Satan comes at the 6th trumpet, Christ at the 7th. (Revelation 9:13-21 and 11:15-19). II Thessalonians 2:7 "For the mystery of iniquity doth already work; only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way." In the Greek, "iniquity" is "anomia", which means lawlessness. The "mystery" is made known to God’s people by the Holy Spirit, (Ephesians 3:5). Indeed, this lawlessness has been around since the beginning when Cain was marked, (Genesis 4:1-15). The word "letteth" is a transitive verb, and according the laws of the Greek language, you must transfer its action back to the subject and object being discussed, to identify the "he". The subject is Satan. Where is Satan now? In Heaven. He has been there since Christ told him to "get thee behind me", (Luke 4:8). Satan is in Heaven, and is held there by Michael, (Revelations 12:7-10). Until it is time to take Satan out of the way, of Heaven, and is cast to this earth. II Thessalonians 2:8 "And then shall that wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of His mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming." Again, who will be revealed? Satan. "That wicked" should be translated, "that wicked one". How long will Satan be on this earth before he is destroyed? It was 7 years, but God shortened the time, (Mark 13:20), twice. Once to 3 1/2 years and again to 5 months. Five months is how long Satan will be on this earth, pretending to be Jesus. Five months is the life span of a locust, don’t forget the locust army, (Revelation 9:10-11). It is also the period of time Noah’s flood was on the earth, (Genesis 6:13 – 8:14). The enemy comes in like a flood, (Isaiah 59:19). Only this time, it’s a flood of lies, not a flood of water. II Thessalonians 2:9 "Even Him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders." I sure hope you didn’t just read over that. Even Him, (Him who? Jesus Christ), who comes after the work of Satan. How does Satan work? "With all power and signs and lying wonders." Satan is supernatural, and with the power given to him by God, he will be able to heal the sick, raise the dead, walk on water, or split the Red Sea down the middle. Again, I remind you, what will Satan be doing that he has this power? Shewing himself that he is God. II Thessalonians 2:10 "And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish, because they received not the love of truth, that they might be saved." What does it mean to be deceived? It means that no matter what reality is, you will believe what you have been taught all your life. You only figure it out when you have proof of the truth. It is the same with this. With what the religious community teaches today, you are going to fall for it hook, line, and sinker, if you don’t learn the truth. You have to study hard to learn what the truth is, (II Timothy 2:15). Follow subject and object. Get a Strong’s Concordance so you can check out the Hebrew and Greek. Otherwise, Satan’s words will go

It’s wonderful to hear someone else voice what Ive been trying to tell people for the past 5 years. I learned about MacPhearson’s book from the Shepherd’s Chapel network and have listened to Arnold Murray teach for the past few years. If others are interested in hearing the truth try www.shepherdschapel.com  or if you have a dish they are on Galaxy 6 Transponder 6 24 hours a day with line by line, chapter by chapter bible study. They also do documentaries based on the book America B.C.  They introduced me to the Companion Bible which  with the aid of a strong’s concordance has helped me understand more in a few months than I ever learned in a church! If you can order one of these Bibles from a christian book store it will be one of the best investments you will ever make.  It has 198 appendixes with a wealth of information, such as the true birthday of Christ, The 3 earth ages, the fallen angels of Gen.6. Very interesting reading. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – The Rapture Theory We are living in the last days, spoken of all through God’s word. Not many will dispute that fact.
